This game gets people with disabilities who love to adventure without barriers to find new places to explore

Our Getting Lost Games are played by everybody.  And we know that not everybody looks the same.  We know that not everybody can read yet, or has the same mobility, or sees colours and words the same, or processes information the same.  And that means that our games aren't the best they can be for everybody.

So we want to change that.

So we created the Everybody Edition of the Getting Lost Game. It's our most popular edition - the Adventurers Edition - but re-imagined to remove barriers so it is truly accessible to everybody. The Everybody Edition is also great for smaller children who are not yet reading and need visual clues instead to enable them to be the reader.

There is not a single card that we haven't touched. Want to see what's different?

  • We've reimagined cards that assume a level of mobility
  • We've made the font 14+
  • We've changed our font to a dyslexic font
  • We've drawn our images in colour blind friendly colours
  • We've reduced unnessesary words
  • We've removed visual clutter
  • We've added visual cues to all cards
  • We've reimagined cards that require hearing
  • We've added a card to allow for breaks
  • We've added cards to reward businesses who cater for those with different accessibility needs

More information

The Adventurers Edition is so popular that it's led to a few extra editions based this game....

  • Our Aussie Edition takes the Adventurers Edition and adds some unique Aussie cards
  • Our Everybody Edition takes the Adventurers Edition and removes all barriers to play with colour blind, dyslexic friendly cards and no assumptions of mobility or ability
  • Our Te Reo Māori Edition takes the Adventurers Edition and adds a Te Reo Māori transalation on the back

As these are have similar directions we recommend buying only one of these for four packs per adventurer.

As with all our games we get ideas and feedback from our Getting Lost crew on Facebook, subscribers to our e-mails, purchasers and players of our games, people living with disabilities and other industry guidance. We thank the literally hundreds of you who have all contributed your thoughts and suggestions.

Our cards measures 91mm x 55mm. They have misdirection cards on one side and NZ and Australian locations (known as our inspiration cards) on the other side. All these locations can be found on our blog so its perfect for a little holiday inspiration and dreaming.

Want to customise your game? You can add one of our suitcases in your favourite colour. Our suitcases fit 45 cards and are great for combining packs and taking them out and about.

Please remember to play the game responsibly and make sure that you stay safe and able to get yourself back home at all times.  If you have any other questions please e-mail us at cat@gettinglost.co.nz

Great game
Great company

Would just like the card to be made with a material that will last longer

Thanks so much for the review. We stay away from plastics on our cards to try and limit our impact on the environment. Despite this they really are quite durable - I still have my original set frrom when we made them 6 years ago!

Great product. Beautiful presentation, too. As a parent with 2 disabled children, they're a great activity to get them out and about. Thank you.

Thank you so much for the review - we love that we can make a game truly for everybody. :-)

Very enjoyable. It’s great to have an inclusive version and amazing you can still find wheelchair accessible places in the middle of rural NSW!
When I can afford it I would like to buy other packs to add into it to mix it up a bit. It would be good to have inclusive walking versions too as we don’t always have access to a car

Thanks so much for the feedback Cam. I'll add an inclusive walking edition to our development list.
